Help us get on the House District 9 ballot
You can have an outsized impact on which candidates, including Monica, make it onto the primary ballot.
Colorado’s Democrat party uses the “Caucus and Assembly process” to select their candidates for the ballot. The process is almost like a game with challenges that get you to the next level - luckily, you don’t need experience to participate, and the hardest challenge is showing up to a meeting.
Challenge 1: do you live in House District 9?

If you do not live in the district, think of who does, and share this page with them. And please sign up to volunteer.

House District 9 includes southeast Denver and parts of Arapahoe County. Glendale, Virginia Vale, Virginia Village, University Hills, Goldsmith, Four Square Mile and Holly Hills neighborhoods are all in the district.
Challenge 2: are you a registered Democrat?
You must be a registered Democrat to vote at the Caucus and Assembly processes.

Are you a registered Democrat? If yes, great! Go to Challenge 3.
If not, send this page to any friends you know live in this area. And please sign up to volunteer.
Challenge 3: join us at Caucus to become a delegate!
Be sure to put March 3rd, at 6pm on your calendar. The location depends on whether you live in Arapahoe or Denver counties.
If you live in Arapahoe County, register here for the virtual meeting. It is important that you select “Yes, I want to be a County Delegate“ and “Yes, I live in House District 9, and want to be a multi-county HD delegate“ when you register.
If you live in Denver County, come to Thomas Jefferson High School. Team Monica will have kids’ activities and babysitters on site along with snacks.
Whether you attend virtually or in-person, request to be a delegate for Assembly, which is the critical next step.
🫱🏽🫲🏿Did you attend caucus and become a delegate? Proceed to Challenge 4.
If you can not participate in caucus, click here to send an email to the Democrat party that explains you can’t attend, and requesting to be a delegate for Assembly. You need to do this sooner than March 3rd so they can print your email and have it available at the meeting.
If you can’t attend Assembly, we will help you find a proxy.
Final Challenge 4: Assemble for Monica!
Your next step depends on whether you live in Arapahoe or Denver county.
1- If you live in Arapahoe County, put March 7th at 11am on your calendar and go to Hinkley High School.
2- If you live in Denver County, putMarch 14th at 11am on your calendar and go to South High School.
Team Monica will be on site with kids’ activities, snacks, and guidance for how to become a delegate for the final, multi-county assembly.
Did you attend your county assembly and become a final delegate?! Put April 11th at 3pm on your calendar. 🗓️
If you can not attend, we will help you find a proxy who will carry your vote.
The final, multi-county HD9 Assembly will be virtual, and you will receive instructions for how to participate. There, you will vote for Monica to be on the ballot and complete the challenge! 🎉
